Rox is located 10 miles Southwest of Grand Rapids MN. Our machine shop includes 2 Horizontal MAZAK Mills, 1 Vertical MAZAK Mill, Welding, Powder Coating, Brake Press, Shear, Clicker press, etc. We specialize in precision machined billet 6061-T6 aluminum products and we handle end-to-end accessory manufacturing for many of the largest OEMs in the snowmobile industry.

Rox also produces an entire line of Rox branded powersports accessories. Our values are based on teamwork, family, and faith.

Job Responsibilities: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs all Machine Operator functions.
• Performs frequent and complex CNC/ mill set-ups to produce quality parts based on provided specifications.
• Recommends program efficiency changes and submits program change requests to Team Lead.
• Performs preventive maintenance such as inspecting/replacing fluid levels; inspecting/replacing filters and belts; performing visual inspection.
• Solves tooling issues by identifying productivity of tooling, evaluating tooling performance, and evaluating new tooling requirements.
• Performs routine dimensional and visual inspection of product per procedure, specification or print using basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, scale, indicators, and SPC equipment).
• Maintains safety practices related to machining; (wear protective clothing, eye glasses, hearing protection, as required).
• Participates in set up reduction/process improvement teams to increase process efficiencies.
• Perform in other areas as requested by Team Leader including but not limited to one or more of the following: packaging, finishing, material deployment, assembly, and other machining areas.
• Ability to assist with proving out new parts
• Ability to alter programs in all aspects on all CNC Machine Tools

Qualifications:

• Must be self-motivated and dependable, with a positive attitude
• 2-year Machine Tool Diploma or Degree from a community college or technical program. (Equivalent work experience directly related to CNC Machining may also be acceptable).
• Proficient ability to read/interpret blueprints; measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, scales, and indicators) and in-depth knowledge of tooling identification

Job Type:

Experience:

• CNC Machinist: 2 years (Required) - 4 years (Preferred)
• Machinist: 2 years (Required) - 4 years (Preferred)
• Be able to edit, set up , program, and operate MAZATROL CNC equipment (Preferred)

Job Responsibilities: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Learn from Lead / Senor Machinist how to use the CNC machine
• Understand the product line
• Operate high speed CNC machines
• Select and maintain sharp tools
• Enter tool offsets
• Stop machine to remove finished work piece or change tooling, set up, or work piece placement according to required machine sequence
• Position and secure work piece on machine bed, indexing table, fixture, or dispensing or holding device
• Operate skid loader
• Performs routine dimensional and visual inspection of product per procedure.
• Maintains safety practices related to machining; (wear protective clothing, eye glasses, hearing protection, as required).
• Perform in other areas as requested by Team Leader including but not limited to one or more of the following: packaging, finishing, material deployment, assembly, and other machining areas.
• Performs preventive maintenance such as inspecting/replacing fluid levels and performing visual inspection of machine equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

• Must be self-motivated and dependable, with a positive attitude
• High school Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and be prompt to work
• Knowledge of CNC machines
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with detail and accuracy
